Prior to its release this November, alongside the Xbox One X, preorders can now be placed for Super Lucky’s Tale.
Earlier this summer, as a part of Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference, Playful Corp unveiled its upcoming platformer, Super Lucky’s Tale. While its predecessor, “Lucky’s Tale,” was an exclusive launch title for the Oculus Rift, the latest entry in the series ditches the headset, in pursuit of traditional platforming gameplay. For those looking forward to Lucky’s upcoming adventures, the game is now available for both preorder and pre-download ahead of launch.
As announced by Larry Hryb, director of programming at Xbox Live, Super Lucky’s Tale can now be purchased on Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs, prior to its launch later this year. Priced at $29.99, you’ll be securing access to the game across both platforms, thanks to the game’s support for Microsoft’s Play Anywhere initiative.
Releasing on November 7, 2017, Super Lucky’s Tale will also be a launch title for Microsoft’s upcoming flagship console, the Xbox One X. With specific enhancements to leverage additional resources, the game will render at native 4K, at 60 frames per second (FPS) – an aspirational output for titles developed with the system in mind.
Although Super Lucky’s Tale might not stand out among this year’s biggest triple-A blockbusters, the game still looks to build off the strengths of the classic platformers of previous decades. Furthermore, the game also stands out as an exemplary addition to the Xbox ecosystem, expected to embrace both new hardware, and existing programs offered by Microsoft.
